About North Greene Middle School

North Greene Middle School was founded in 2020.  It was formed by uniting Baileyton, Ottway, and West Pines 6th-8th grade students.  The Baileyton School building became the elementary school and the Ottway School building became the site of the middle school.  The West Pines building had been closed the previous year in 2019.  The concept of the middle school was met with mixed emotions, but turned out to be a positive transition.  The transition to the middle school, although challenged by Covid-19, was very successful.  The faculty, staff, and students have all united as one and have embraced the middle school concept.  At NGMS we are able to offer new opportunities for our students.  Some of the new opportunities offered are clubs, intramural activities, a CTE program, a full time school counselor, additional sports teams, high school credits, specialized teachers in each grade level and subject area, and community outreach.
