About Me!

Hi there! I am the special education teacher here at North Greene Middle School. This is my 10th year teaching and I continue to love every minute of it. I graduated from Greeneville High School in 2008, and then went on to graduate from Tusculum College in 2012. I am certified to teach Pre-K-3rd grade regular and special education and K-12 modified and comprehensive special education. I also have an endorsement to teach 7-12 English.

I absolutely love my job and my kids! I strive to make my classroom a comfortable and judgement free environment where my kids aren't so ashamed of having a disability. I want them to feel confident in the work that they can do! In our classroom, we work on a variety of deficit skills to try and fill in educational gaps to build on being more successful with grade level content. My kids know that I am always there to help them in any way possible and that I love them no matter what their difficulties may be. I also want parents to know that I am here to support YOU as well! If you ever need anything or have questions/concerns, please contact me! We will figure it out ASAP! We support each other in this classroom.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, watching sports (especially Tennessee-GO VOLS!), and cooking/baking. I also have a 100 pound lap dog named Shadow who is a black lab. I am looking forward to an amazing school year! We have a lot of room for growth and we are going to make the best of it!
